This year we added Derek to the mix, along with me, Darren, Evan, and Randy. 
We all met at Calvin, and the Schaaf brothers chauffeured. The first night the cottage was very cold, and I got creamed in poker.
The second day was a little better. We walked across the lake and found our first geocache. Unfortunately nobody had the foresight to bring a pen to sign the logbook.
We took advantage of the perfect packing snow and built a huge snowman on a bridge over a creek. We thought about leaving him to greet snowmobilers, but instead we forced him to an untimely end in the rushing water.
The evening was spent playing Carcassonne, and several huge 5-player games of Settlers with Cities and Knights. I also brought Sea Farers of Catan, however we didn't have the attention span to figure out how to play. Maybe next time.
