It's was that time again for the annual cookie baking bonanza. Around Thanksgiving my mom, aunt and I make several batches of cookies to be given away for Christmas. It was a several hour affair. It ended with lots of goodies. . .

A few weekends ago (Dec 15-16),Val and I continued the bonanza and worked all weekend for our treats. We spent 5 hours on friday night making cutouts and all day Saturday (9am - 11pm) completing our 14 batches of cookies (cut outs, brown sugar drops, erna clusters, PB w/ choc stars, eggnog bars, mint cookie candies, PB balls, rum balls, almond snowballs, molasses, caramel oatmeal bars, fudge, mixed nut bars, and raspberry thumbprints). We ended up making several new kinds and they mostly turned out well. Every year we say we won't do as many batches next year, but by the time "next year" rolls around, we always want to try just one more!
