It became official. Evan has fully come of age. Numerically, anyway. We had party at the cottage which was also attended by Mart and Barb, and Tom and Brenda. It was quite windy, so lighting the candles proved to be difficult. Of course we can always count on grandpa to come through in a pinch.
After the birthday party Evan and I went to Mike Bloem's bachelor party. Randy was hosting, and they had gone golfing earlier. So Evan and I joined them briefly for the camp-out, but after sitting around the camp-fire for a while we decided to go back to the cottage to sleep on real beds.
